TEHRAN, Aug 08—Operator of phase developments 17 and 18 of the supergiant South Pars Gas Field says recovery of gas from the two phases has reached 37 million cubic meters per day.

Speaking with Shana, Hassan Boveiri said projects for development of the two phases have made 96% progress and recovery of gas from the first trains of the two phases is at 37mcm/d.

He said gas recovery from the two phases began in early 2015 after 22 production wells, 2 platforms, 2 seabed pipelines and 4 operational refinery units came on-stream at the phases.

Phases 17&18 are to produce 50 mcm/d of natural gas, 80,000 b/d of gas condensate, 400 tons a day of sulfur, 1 million tons a year of ethane and 1.05 million tons a year of liquefied gas.

Iran’s Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO), Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC), Oil Industries Engineering and Construction Company (OIEC) and Iranian Marine Industrial Company are in charge of Phases 17&18.
